Head of Visa: bitcoin can not be considered as means of payment

American transnational company Visa does not recognize cryptocurrency as means of payment or a part of the payment system. Head of the payment system, Alfred F. Kelly, said it in an interview with CNBC.

According to him, bitcoin and money are completely different concepts. He considers it to be a speculative commodity, which can not become one with traditional financial instruments.

In this regard, Visa will not work with any operations that are related to cryptocurrencies. The company only processes transactions with fiat money.
